Up for sale is a classic vintage 1970s Sheaffer Imperial Sovereign Fountain Pen in 14K Gold Filled featuring the iconic engraved diamond crosshatch pattern and a solid 14K gold inlaid nib.
Condition & Testing Details:
Flushed & Cleaned: The pen has been thoroughly water-flushed cleaned. It is shipped completely clean and dry (empty of ink).
Tested & Functional: Tested with ink to ensure proper ink flow through the feeder and nib. The included original Sheaffer squeeze converter functions properly and holds ink without leaks.
Nib: Solid 14K Gold Sheaffer inlaid nib in excellent shape with straight tines and smooth tipping material. Writes smoothly.
Cap & Body: The gold-filled finish retains its brilliant shine with crisp diamond crosshatch engraving. Shows minor micro-scratches/light surface patina from age.
Note on Cap Finial: There is a very small micro-dent on the top rounded edge of the gold cap crown (highlighted in close-up photos). It does not affect functionality or clip placement.
