This listing is for a vintage 1960's - 1970's solid brass candle snuffer. It has a hinged bell shaped head that also unscrews for easier cleaning of accumulated wax due to snuffing out burning candles. I purchased this at an estate sale and it is in good condition. It is polished brass that has acquired an attractive patina over the years. I have cleaned it, but there is still some small amounts of residual wax inside the bell shaped snuffer. Please refer to the pictures for the best description of its condition.
The snuffer has a 7 inch long handle with a small ball at the end of the handle which also unscrews for easier cleaning. The bell at the opposite end is hinged to swing back and forth. It also unscrews from the handle. The bell & handle are simply styled in a classic bell shape and functional handle. It is a minimalist, classically styled delight!
The snuffer is unmarked as to origins, but may have been made in India as many brass items were during the mid-century era.
