A nice super premium Stanley “Yankee” Bell System No 2101A, excellent condition.
A standard size 10inch sweep. This Bit Brace has a ball bearing chuck, universal jaws and the smoothest ratchet system ever.
This is Stanley’s manufacture after purchasing North Brothers and making it a Division of Stanley tool co.
This Brace has many premium features like, Steel Clad Ball Bearing head, fully boxed ratchet. universal jaws that uses traditional tapered auger bits as well as the more modern round and hex shank bits. It also has a ball bearing chuck that makes it easier to tighten and loosen the jaws on an auger bit.
Working and cosmetic condition is excellent The head and ratchet sections are tight and firm no wobble.
This brace was manufactured In the late 1950’s about 70 years ago and will last another lifetime with proper care.
Tested and lubricated, the brace looks and works great.

I am in upstate South Carolina. I have recently retired. One of my hobbies has been woodworking, but never had the time to do it as well as would like. A few years ago I became passionate about using vintage hand tools vs. battery or electric powered whenever it made sense to do so. Today my passion still thrives and I enjoy properly oiling/waxing, cleaning or refurbishing, if needed those same vintage woodworking tools.
My goal is to place as many of these high quality, made in the USA vintage hand tools back into the hands of today’s craftsmen. I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on .
