The radio today – technology and condition
The unit has been tested and shows a very clear and pleasant reception on FM (UKW), staying true to the warm sound of its era. The input for an external turntable works perfectly (mono), making it ideal for collectors of shellac records or vintage vinyl.
The AM bands (MW and LW) have not been tested in detail; when tuning through, mainly noise is heard and clear reception cannot be guaranteed at the moment. Here, a good external antenna or some careful adjustment by a radio specialist might work wonders.
One special feature: the magic eye (EM80) has been replaced and now glows clearly and steadily again – a small highlight for every tube lover.
