Vintage Texas Nine-Banded Armadillo Taxidermy Mount — Approximately 35 Years Old
Offered for sale is avintage full-body taxidermy armadillo, believed to be anine-banded armadillo (Dasypus novemcinctus).
This is a genuine vintage specimen that I purchased approximately35 years ago at a gift shop in Corpus Christi, Texas. It has been privately owned and displayed/kept for many long from nose to rear end (tail extends another ~10" over the armadillo's back)

The natural shell/banding and full-body standing pose make this an unusual and distinctive piece for ataxidermy collection, Texas/Mexicana décor, natural-history collection, hunting lodge, Western décor, or conversation-piece display.
History / provenance
I purchased this armadillo approximately 35 years ago at agift shop in Corpus Christi, Texas. I do not have the original receipt or additional taxidermy paperwork.
I am selling it from my personal collection.
Condition
This is a vintage taxidermy specimen and isnot new. There may be normal signs of age and handling consistent with a specimen approximately 35 years old.
I have inspected the specimen and am not aware of any damage to the head or ears. Please use the photographs to judge the overall cosmetic condition for yourself.
Shipping
Because of the age and delicate nature of this specimen, it will beprofessionally packed and protected for shipping. It will also be insured.
The armadillo will be individually protected, with particular attention given to thetail, ears, feet and claws, and secured so that it cannot shift inside the package during transit.
Local pickup is also welcomeif that is more convenient for the buyer.
