Vintage TrinityCollege Cambridge Wall Plaque Shield
This is avintage item dating from circa 1920’s made by AW Crisp & Co. It featuresthe college’s heraldic shield which is described in traditional heraldic languageas “Argent, a chevron between three roses gules barbed and seededproper and on a chief gules a lion passant gardant between two closed books allOr”
The raised crestis painted on a wooden backing and mounted on an oak wall plaque with picturecord for hangingon the back.
Measures 20cm x 15.5 cm
This is a vintageitem in sound but aged condition. There is some chipping of paint on the edgesof the crest and some signs of wear on the painted surface as might be expectedof an item of this age. The oak plaque is solid with no visible marks orcracks.
