The design covers both the interior and exterior of the bowl with scrolling foliage, berries, flowers and leaves. The piece retains its original Soviet paper label on the underside marked MADE IN USSR.

The piece dates to the Soviet era and appears consistent with 1980s production.
Condition is very good for its age. The lacquer remains glossy and the painted colors are strong. There are a few small age related marks and minor lacquer imperfections, which are shown closely in the photographs. No cracks or major structural damage observed.
The original paper label remains attached and is an especially nice feature for collectors of Soviet and Russian folk art.
