Vintage unmarked boys-size single-bit axe with a 27” red-finished wood handle. The maker is unknown, and no readable manufacturer markings were found on the head.
The axe has a nicely tapered single-bit head with a 3 7/8” cutting edge and substantial poll. Red epoxy is visible in the eye around the handle. The head shows age-related surface wear, patina, old sharpening/grinding marks, and other normal signs of use.
