Vintage VERNON KILNS SPRITE Figure Fairy mold, Disney Fantasia 1940 “Unmarked” this piece is not marked!
This looks just like a vintage 1940 Vernon Kilns ceramic figurine of a Sprite from the Walt Disney film Fantasia. It features a cream-colored glazed finish with painted details on an open base bottom.
It looks like collectible the series of sprites and cherubs from the film's "Pastoral Symphony" segment.
According to ai/The "Unmarked" Mystery: It is highly common for these pieces to be completely unmarked on the bottom. While some items from the Fantasia line carried a stamped Disney copyright and Vernon Kilns mark, many smaller sprites and figurines were distributed without individual bottom markings or only had paper labels that wore off over time.
Another seller suggested these were re-used molds. Perhaps not produced by Vernon Kilns. Same look for a fraction of the cost.
Condition: excellent, minor overall fine crazing, no cracks or chips.
