A meaningful piece for a collector, a veteran\'s family, or anyone who values this quiet chapter of American military fraternal history.9/20/26 - I attempted to remove the small bit of mounting post that is stuck in the bottom 2 mounting bracket pieces. Using pliers, it would not budge. However, if you have access to a vise and drill press, using a bit that is smaller in diameter than the post, you should be able to carefully remove that stuck bit of post. You\'ll notice in the new photos where my pliers scratched this post (in my attempt to remove it) to reveal a shiny color,which is indicative of bronze (not pot metal or cast iron).
