This vintage vaseline (uranium) pressed glass master salt has a pale canary yellow tint and a square pedestal form. It glows a vivid green under UV/black light, the classic sign of uranium glass, making it a great piece for uranium glass collectors and blacklight displays.
The design is detailed throughout. The rim is scalloped and sits above a band of thumbprint-style beading. A sawtooth border frames each side. Each corner has diamond lattice (crosshatch) panels that come together in a stepped \"V\" on all four sides, leaving a smooth, clear panel at the center of each face.
The interior floor has a rayed starburst set in a recessed square. The bowl rests on a short waist with fan motifs and a stepped square foot with an \"X\" rayed design on each side. The underside of the foot also has a rayed star.
It works well as an open salt, a small nut or candy dish, a trinket or ring dish, or a display piece for pressed glass, vaseline glass, and yellow glass collections.

Condition:Good vintage condition with age-appropriate wear. Dust and residue remain in the pattern crevices and along the rim scallops, and there is light discoloration in the recesses of the foot. Some roughness and small nicks were noted at the corners of the foot. A few fine lines at the rim and interior are consistent with mold seams from the pressing process.
