Vintage Voting Ballot Box, Fraternal, 42 White China and Clay Marbles, S1678 For Sale

Type: This is a vintage wooden ballot box with 42 handmade white and black voting marbles, (the white ones are glazed chinas/white benningtons and the black marbles are clays). These boxes were used by fraternal organizations and such to conduct voting. A white marble was a for \'for\' and a black was \'against\' hence the term \'black balled\' for someone voted out of favor.
Condition: General wear on the wood. Marbles do have some wear.
