Vintage WICHITA KS DESICCATING CO Rendering Tin Match Holder DEAD ANIMAL REMOVAL For Sale

This is an antique tin kitchen match or matchbox holder from around the 1930s to 1950s. It features a distinctive promotional advertisement for The Wichita Desiccating Co. based out of Wichita, Kansas. "Don't Bury Your Dead – We Remove Them Free" alongside graphics of farm animals. Companies like this operated as rendering works that collected dead livestock from farms.  It is a Vintage wall-mount match safe or dispenser box that held wooden stick matches.  The Wichita Desiccating Co., Wichita, Kansas (active during the  early to mid-20th century) The numbers listed under each town represent the early local telephone exchange prefixes or ring numbers used before modern 7-digit dialing.  The towns listed cluster closely around the state border lines of southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma:
