Vintage WITCO llama magazine stand / magazine rack, attributed to designer William Westenhaver. Large approximately 47” tall sculptural version featuring Witco’s distinctive deeply carved and darkened wood with original red and orange painted accents.
The elongated llama/alpaca design incorporates divided magazine storage into the body, making this both functional furniture and a fantastic piece of Mid-Century Modern sculptural decor.
Witco pieces are highly collectible for their dramatic carved wood designs and distinctive MCM/Tiki aesthetic. Comparable examples of this tall llama magazine stand are documented from the mid-20th century.
Approximately 47” tall. Vintage condition with expected wear, checking/splitting, finish wear and imperfections from age and use. Please review all photos closely—they are part of the description.
