Vintage WW1 working Verners Pattern Vlll 1916 Dated Compass with leather case For Sale

Hi I am selling some of my odd items I have collected over the years.This vintage WW1 working brass compass, dated 1916, is a rare piece of militaria from Great Britain\'s Army during the World War I era. Housed in a leather case also from 1916, this compass is a genuine artifact from the time, making it a highly collectable item for enthusiasts of military history. The compass is maker marked Short & Mason Ltd No 16508and bears the M.O.D. B-road arrow to the reverse. The transit clasp is in good working order . The leather case is maker marked Pulley & Powell and also bears the broad arrow. The case has a nice long leather carrying strap. The brass compass has some good signs of patina and wear but In general good condition as is the case. Its authenticity and significance as a piece of field gear used during the conflict add to its value as a unique and historical piece of memorabilia.Please see photos for condition and sizing as these form part of my description.
