This is a unique World War II-era metal ammunition component box, Mk1, made by Parker Wolverine Co. in 1944. Made for WW2 in 1944 and repurposed by Zenith Radio Corp for the Naval Weapons Station in Concord California
The box was repurposed and re-marked by the Zenith Radio Corporation for post-war U.S. Navy electronics or hardware contracts in the 1960s.
Original WWII Production: Heavy-duty steel container and component box manufactured during World War by Parker Wolverine Co for ordnance and fuzes. Straight and clean, all latches work, the gasket is still somewhat pliable
