Originally designed as a hot and cold insulated server, these West Bend Penguin pieces have become especially popular as vintage ice buckets and barware. Lift the domed lid to reveal the insulated metal interior, with the gasket still present around the rim.
This example features the wooden handle and finial version, rather than the Bakelite-handled variation sometimes found.

Condition:
Very good vintage condition with an especially bright, reflective exterior. There is light surface wear consistent with age and normal use, most noticeable under direct light. The interior is clean overall with two small shallow dents/depressions in the bottom, shown in the photographs. There is minor age-related oxidation around some of the handle hardware/screws. The wooden handles and matching lid finial show natural age and dryness to the finish. The interior gasket is present and shows age toning.
