Up for purchase is a genuine, highly collectible vintage solid bronze figurine of a Smilodon (Saber-Toothed Cat), meticulously sculpted by renowned museum artist William Otto.
This piece was produced during the late 1950s to 1960s and sold exclusively through the Los Angeles County Natural History Museum gift shop. The sculpture was modeled directly from accurate anatomical reconstructions of fossil skeletons excavated from the famous La Brea Tar Pits.
