A vintage wooden silverware storage chest with a warm mahogany-toned finish and decorative brass clasp hardware on the front edge. The lid lifts open on brass hinges to reveal a rich burgundy felt-lined interior, with a dedicated compartment of individual slots for spoons/forks and a separate row of tabbed slots designed to keep knives protected and tarnish-free (holds roughly a 12-piece place setting based on the felt tab count). An Anti-Tarnish Silverware Container metal shield tag is affixed inside, and the underside is stamped with an inventory number (28568) from its original manufacturer. Exterior shows expected surface scratches, light scuffing, and a couple small finish nicks from age and use, plus the felt interior has a few faint spots - nothing that affects function.
