The hat remains invery good vintage condition with no major structural damage observed. Thebamboo displays an attractive aged patina consistent with years of naturaloxidation and use. Minor variations, slight fraying, and age-related wear arepresent, all of which contribute to its authentic character.
The included wovenbamboo insert is not the original insert supplied with the hat. Itslighter blonde color and different weaving pattern indicate it was craftedseparately and added later. It fits the hat properly and performs the sameintended function of suspending the hat above the wearer\'s head for improved comfortand ventilation. The difference has been reflected in both the photographs andpricing.
