Vintage c1960 Guatemalan Man 8\" Handmade Folk Art Cloth Doll Figure Guatemala

Condition:
Vintage preowned condition with age-related wear. One small gourd-like piece attached to the backpack/carrying frame is broken, and a decorative bundle or similar accessory appears to be missing from the left side of the pack. Clothing and materials show expected age and wear. Please review all photos carefully for condition and vintage handmade Guatemalan folk art doll/figure depicting a man carrying a traditional-style wooden pack on his back.

The figure measures approximately 8\" tall and is constructed from a variety of natural and textile materials, including cloth, wood, woven fibers/straw and thread. Wonderful handmade details include a woven straw hat, hand-stitched facial features, cloth clothing, wooden walking stick, sandals/feet, and an elaborate wooden and fiber carrying frame with miniature contents.

Acquired from a collector whose handwritten identification tag described the piece as a “Guatemalan Man 1960.” The exact maker and date are unknown, so the 1960 attribution is being presented as the previous collector\'s identification rather than a confirmed manufacture date.

The figure itself is attached to a small rectangular wooden base. A gray metal display/doll stand is also included.

Condition Notes:
Good overall vintage condition considering its apparent age, with expected wear to the cloth, fibers, wood and other handmade materials.

One small gourd-like object on the rear carrying frame is broken/open. There also appears to have originally been another bundle or accessory attached to the left side of the pack, corresponding to the bundled fiber/straw piece still present on the opposite side. That piece is no longer present.

There is additional age-related wear, fraying, discoloration and minor imperfections throughout consistent with a handmade vintage piece. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition Approx. 8\" tall
