Up for sale is an incredibly striking, highly collectible 18-piece estate fine porcelain tea/dessert service decorated by the prestigious Friedrich Simon studio in Karlsbad (Carlsbad), Czechoslovakia.
This presentation-tier set features an opulent, deep teal enamel glaze accented with heavy geometric gold scrollwork and classical, romantic courting couple vignettes inspired by the Rococo master Jean-Honorรฉ Fragonard. Most notably, the interior of all six teacups features a brilliant, mirror-like solid gold wash glaze that beautifully reflects light.

This antique set is in beautiful, clean vintage condition with no chips, no cracks, no flea bites, and no hairlines. The interior gold washing on the cups remains exceptionally brilliant.
* Due to decades of careful storage, the large plates exhibit light-to-moderate surface scuffs/circular rub marks on the teal enamel and center gold medallions caused by being stacked together without felt protective liners.

Each piece features the original underglaze backstamp from the FSK (Friedrich Simon Karlsbad) decorating studio. The specific hyphenation of the "Czecho-Slovakia" banner firmly dates this set's production to the historic interwar era (1920โ1938), just before the mid-century closure of the workshop. Friedrich Simon was legendary for purchasing high-quality white porcelain "blanks" from elite local Bohemian ceramic works and hand-decorating them with premium lusterware and heavy gold gilding for high-end boutique export.
