Up for sale is an exceptional, authentic antique 1910s/1920s Portina Cigar Box manufactured by the Porto Rican-American Tobacco Co. (Toro y Ca. S. en C., Successors) in San Juan, Porto Rico! This is a remarkably rare find featuring wonderful early typography and advertising graphics.The box features a striking outer wood lithograph label and opens to reveal a vibrant red and white inner lid graphic detailing \"The Famous Perfecto Sublime Size Now 5¢\". The interior has been historically fitted with a custom multi-compartment wooden grid separator divider. The reverse features its original Factory 113 District NJ manufacturing notice and a beautiful, fully intact 5 Cents State of Louisiana Tobacco Tax Stamp. Measures approximately 9 inches long, 5.5 inches wide, and sits 1.5 inches tall when laying flat.PROVENANCE: This beautiful antique piece was discovered safely tucked away inside a vintage storage trunk while cleaning out a family estate in Louisiana.
