Produced by the KURLASH Company Inc. of Rochester, NY, these unique grooming tools combine a scissor-action with a needle-nose tweezers tip. One side of the tweezer (on the inside) has the iconic “KURLASH” name written in cursive. The other side is stamped “THE KURLASH CO INC., ROCH., N.Y., PAT. NO. 2069177.
The patent was granted for this scissor/tweezer design 1/26/1937 allowing the user a clearer, unobstructed view of their face while plucking compared to traditional flat tweezers. It made it less painful to pluck eyebrows this way.Twissors are in genuine/vintage condition. Metal shows some surface rust and discoloration consistent with age. The handle is painted sea foam green, and as expected, paint is mostly present but shows some noticeable chipping and wear from decades of storage.
