Charming vintage 1950s A.D. Sutton & Sons imported Polish folk art doll. This 14-inch collectible features a beautifully preserved, hand-painted celluloid mask face with highly desirable side-glancing blue eyes and original braided blonde yarn hair.
She is dressed in a traditional regional Krakow costume featuring a vibrant red floral skirt, blue vest with decorative trim, and an ornate lace blouse. The sawdust-stuffed cloth body is structurally sound and clearly stamped "POLAND" on the back of the leg. The celluloid face is in wonderful vintage shape with no dents or cracks, and the paint remains incredibly crisp. A premier addition to any mid-century international doll collection.
