The rest of the tools and backings are German Solingen steel.Pieces in this coin knife that fold out include a pair of scissors, nail file, and a small cutting blade. A ring is included on the top to add to a chain (pocket watch or necklace for example).Etched on back of cutting blade is \"rostfrei\" German for rust-free or stainless steel. \"Ackermannchen\" is also found on this piece - this was a world renowned blade manufacturer in Solingen, Germany. \"Made in Italy\" is found on front side of this piece, indicating a date of 1960s when Ackermannchen contracted manufacturing in Maniago, Italy.Coin shaped multi-tools were popular in Mid 20th century (1930s to 1960s and WWII) and were given as gifts to travelers, soldiers, and drivers to bring good fortune and protection on their journeys.
