This wall plaque showcases the ancient, pre-Hispanic resin overlay technique unique to the Colombian Andes. Master artisans boil and stretch the natural resin of the wild Mopa Mopa bush into paper-thin sheets, dye them with rich organic pigments, and painstakingly cut and layer the intricate designs onto a hand-carved wooden base.
The detail on this parrot is exceptional.
