Charming vintage Japanese porcelain baby shoe planter / small vase featuring a seated baby or cherub figure on the heel of an old-fashioned high-top boot.
The piece is hand painted with colorful raised floral decoration, including a large purple flower, smaller blue blossoms, a yellow ruffled rim, and gold gilt scroll accents. The underside is clearly stamped in red:
