This piece was structurally designed to serve as a dual-purpose holiday decoration, featuring a hollow interior cavity and an intentional through-hole molded directly into the top pom-pom of his hat.
Condition Details:
Paint/Surface: Beautiful vintage character! Features authentic "cold paint" aging, including typical dark antiquing/soot-like distressing on the white trim of his hat, and minor paint flakes along the bottom red rim consistent with its 70+ year age.
No chips or cracks in the porcelain body.
Functionality Note: The original hanging string and internal clapper/bead are no longer present. It can easily be re-threaded with a gold cord for hanging, displayed freestanding as a tabletop figurine, or tucked into a retro Putz village display.
