For your consideration - Vintage - Rare - Tourneur Lip Rouge And Lip Brush Compact Set - Late 1940\'s - Early 1950\'s.
****Tourneau was a luxury, niche cosmetics company famous for its custom blended face powders and elite department store salons. The flagship store was in Manhatten at 524 Madison Avenue in the heart of Midtown. Complete sets from the brand, especially with all their original components are incredibly difficult to find today.
* Original Tourneau Wood-Handled Lip Brush: Includes the authentic, original wood-handled brush with clear \"Tourneau Lip Brush\" branding and stamped on the wood.
* Intact Labeled Rouge Pan: Contains the original \"Champagne Rose\" (525-Y) Tourneau Lip Rouge pan, complete with its paper labels intact.
* Original Fabric Sleeve: Comes with the rarely preserved cloth protective sleeve.
* Sleek Fitted Art Deco Case: The slim, gold toned metal compact features a clean, fitted interior built specifically to house the brush and rouge tray.
Condition notes:
* External Metal Case: Good Vintage Condition. There are a few scratches and dark marks on the bottom. These may buff off, but I was too afraid to try to clean it. The latch snaps shut securely.
* Lip Brush - The brush pulls out of the case. There is a little notch handle to push the brush out of the case. It does not stay open unless you hold it. I have no idea if it used to click open, or if you always had to hold it.
* Interior & Liner: The fitted insert is clean and holds the pieces perfectly.
* Mirror: The original mirror is intact, but shows significant authentic \"silvering\" (the typical dark spotting/oxidation common in 70+ year old glass). Please see the photos.
* Cloth Sleeve: Intact with typical vintage aging. No rips or tears.
All of my items come from a clean, non-smoking, pet-free home. I will wrap this up and ship via USPS Ground Advantage, which will be the cheapest.
