Up for sale/sale is a beautiful piece of combined American history: a vintage mid-century Wilton Products cast iron frame paired with a late-Victorian/Edwardian photograph from the historic Scholfield Bros. Studio in Westerly, Rhode Island.
About the Frame:
Manufacturer: Clearly stamped "WILTON" on the upper reverse crest, manufactured in Wrightsville, PA.
Design: Heavy-duty cast iron featuring gorgeous Rococo revival scrollwork, acanthus leaves, and a prominent top crest.
Dimensions: Exterior measures approximately 11" tall by 8" wide.
Inner photo opening is approx. 5.5" x 4".
Condition: Excellent vintage condition with a sturdy, fully functional swing-down metal easel leg and all original metal fold-over backing tabs intact. The gold finish shows a wonderful, authentic aged patina.About the
