Terrific souvenir building replica of the World\'s Tallest Thermometer in Baker, California, the Gateway to Death Valley, a roadside attraction built in 1991 that stands 134-feet tall.
This miniature replica is made hand-painted resin and depicts the landmark tower along with the semicircular building at its base. The front is embossed \"WORLD\'S TALLEST THERMOMETER: 134 FT.\" and the top of the building \"Baker, Ca.\" The bottom also reads \"World\'s TALLEST Thermometer\". This is a souvenir building and not a real working thermometer.
It stands almost 4.5\" tall on a 3.25\" round base.
The real Thermometer was built to 134 feet to commemorate the hottest temperature ever recorded at 134 degrees in Death Valley. It was rebuilt and renovated several times since its opening in 1991. One of the quirkiest souvenir buildings out there.
