WWII Era German Tiger Tank 88mm shell reproduction for display. This line of shells were used for the the KWK 36 8.8cm tank cannon. The Sprgr.39 L45 was the high explosive version of the shell. The real shell weighed 20 pounds and used 6.5 pounds of propellant making the Tiger 88 a dominant force during the war. This shell has been produced in a closely matched to the time yellow color and stenciled with markings from the time period.
The item includes the 3D printed case. The filament we use for brass casings is quite finicky and never seems to print perfectly. It appears to have different colors but indeed it is all one color printed off the same machine. It is the material used that created this effect and it is not a defect. Going forward this may be changed to a more golden color and less brass look. If you would rather have a golden color, let us know and we can swap the case out.
The next to last photo shows some real shells in a museum on display to give you a more accurate historical representation. The last photo is our product next to a real inert shell (Thanks to one of our loyal customers for the photo!)
As this is a 3D printed replica there will be small lines and minor imperfections in the item. These are expected in 3D printed items. We inspect all our prints and only sell the best ones. We don't sell seconds or imperfections. This item is made from PLA material. If left in very high temperatures it is possible for it to deform. Very high being 100+ degrees.
Handling time is set to 10 days. It rarely, if ever, will take 10 days. However, we sell lots of replicas across several sites and sometimes order volume exceeds production capability. We try to keep at least one of each item on the shelf but there will be times where your order must be produced prior to shipping. Most of our shipments occur within 48 business hours. Saturday and Sunday are not business hours. If you have an immediate need, contact us to work something out. Shipping will be via the carrier with the most reasonable rates. We tend to underestimate our packages and thus we spend a little more on shipping than the shipping calculator suggests. We also overpack our items as best as possible to prevent damage. If you are located outside of the continental US, you must choose the Priority Mail shipping option. Orders outside the CONUS that do not select Priority mail will be cancelled!
