Made of clear glass construction, this is an original footed half-liter beer glass commemorating Weihnachten 1938 for 3./Fen 13, understood as 3./Fernaufklärungsgruppe 13, or the 3rd Staffel of Long-Range Reconnaissance Group 13! The glass is inEXCELENT condition with NO chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, or restoration! The gold-colored rim shows wear from age and handling, but the glass itself remains very clean.It features hand-painted lettering and a period applied / baked-on style aircraft image, depicting an Hs123 or He50 biplane. The reverse is named, Siedl.The 1938 date places this glass in the pre-war Luftwaffe expansion period, just before the unit structure was reorganized into the wartime reconnaissance system.
