The nine designs show the remarkable range of military uses for American lumber:

The imagery gives an excellent snapshot of just how essential wood was to the American war effort. Wartime lumber was used not simply for buildings and packing crates, but for aircraft components, assault and landing craft, PT boats, military vehicles, bridges, rifle stocks and countless other applications.
The War Department mounted a substantial publicity campaign directed specifically toward lumbermen during 1943, when military demand for timber was extremely high. Contemporary government posters emphasized the same uses shown on this sheet, and surviving examples are preserved in institutional WWII poster collections. The University of North Texas, for example, catalogs official 1943 War Department lumber-production posters issued specifically to stress the military need for lumber.
What makes this example particularly appealing is that nine separate campaign concepts are preserved together on a single wartime sheet, rather than encountered individually.
Important: This is one large folded printed sheet containing nine designs, not nine individually cut posters.
Condition: Very good overall for original WWII-era paper. There is expected age toning (especially on the upper right corner), original fold lines, light handling and minor edge wear. The graphics remain bold and clear. Please review all photographs carefully for exact condition.
