Up for sale is a beautifully preserved, 100% complete antique World War II U.S. Navy Officer’s Dress Uniform Button Set. This is not a pieced together lot. It is a completely matching, undisturbed historical set in its original velvet lined presentation retail box.It was originally purchased by a newly commissioned Naval Officer deploying out of the historic Hampton Roads hub during the peak mobilization years of WWII.Complete 7-Piece Set: Includes a mix of large dress coat buttons and smaller cuff vest buttons.Original Presentation Case: Retains the original velvet-and-silk lined display box bearing the crisp, gold-stamped logo: \"CAVALIER Quality, Trade Mark Registered, FRANK THOMAS CO. INC., NORFOLK, VIRGINIA.\"Matching Retailer Backmarks: The reverse side of every single button is stamped with the matching retailer name: \"Frank Thomas Co\" alongside a single star. Early-War Construction: Features the historical, pre-1941 left-facing eagle design on the front faces.Wartime Stamping: The backmarks feature sharp, depressed/incised lettering with a single star, indicating premium officer-grade production fulfilled by the legendary Scovill Manufacturing Co. during the early 1940s.Excellent antique condition.
