WWII USN Mark 1 Fighting Knife PAL RH-35 Black Handle NORD-4723 Scabbard Description:Up for sale is a 100% authentic, World War II-era U.S. Navy Mark 1 utility/combat fighting knife manufactured by PAL (Model RH-35), complete with its original matching, first-contract military-issue scabbard.KNIFE DETAILS: Handle: Features the highly desirable dark stacked leather washer handle. The leather rings are tightly packed and rock solid. It retains its classic vintage colored spacer rings perfectly intact near the guard and pommel. Condition: Kept in honest, uncleaned condition just as it came out of the war. It has been properly maintained, lightly wiped down, and oiled to protect the steel. No grinding wheels or aggressive buffing tools have ever touched this blade, leaving all edges and factory lines crisp and defined. Markings: Clearly stamped PAL MADE IN U.S.A. and RH-35 on the tang, with U.S.N. MARK 1 on the reverse.SCABBARD DETAILS: Contract: Includes its original WWII USN Mark 1 fiberglass scabbard, clearly stamped with the historic NORD-4723 contract number. This was the Navy's very first contract for these composite sheaths, dating it directly between late 1943 and July 1944. Manufacturer: Made by Beckwith Manufacturing Co. (B.M.
