This postcard depicts the exterior of Wayland Hall, originally built in 1855, featuring its four prominent white columns shaded by large trees at Wayland Academy in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin.Wayland Academy was chartered by the Wisconsin legislature in 1855 as Wayland University, founded by the Wisconsin Baptist Educational Society. Over the decades, the school transitioned from its Baptist roots to become an independent, non-denominational college preparatory boarding school.
