I have a friend here in WA . He manages a cherry orchard. WA State is the largest cherry producer in the country. When the orchard clears older, non-producing trees, they will sell the wood to pizza parlors, BBQ joints etc. They also call me & I get a few branches.The pipe you see is from such a cherry tree.I hand-carve these pipes. I leave natural flaws alone, including any live edges I can save. Hand sanded & finished. Your bowl is about 3/4\" across by 1/2 \" deep. Overall length is about 8 inches. The stem, also from the same tree, is 6\". The stock is a big chunk of cherry: 2 inches across - 2 inches tall. I do not create pipes like this one often. Cherry is an excellent wood for a pipe.
