Woodman\'s Tachometer Speed Indicator Ornate September 12, 1876 Patent Date For Sale

This is a very unique Victorian-era collectible in excellent condition! It’s a vintage mechanical tool known as a Speed Indicator or Tachometer. The ornate device was used to measure revolutions per minute (RPM) of revolving machine spindles, shafts, or saw blades. The dial face is stamped "WOODMAN'S PATENT SEPT. 12, 1876". It is an excellent condition and I don’t see any issues to mention. I’m sure it would likely work perfectly if used on the right machinery.
