The design is deeply embossed, giving the flowers, foliage and decorative background considerable three-dimensional relief. Extensive gold gilt detailing highlights the petals, stamens and ornamental floral elements, and remains remarkably bright and attractive.
The card is particularly notable for its exceptional state of preservation. The embossing remains crisp and strongly defined, the colors retain excellent richness, and the delicate gilt decoration shows very little apparent wear.
The reverse has an attractive multilingual postcard heading — including Carte postale, Post card, Postkarte, Correspondenzkarte, Dopisnice, Открытое письмо and Levelező-Lap — characteristic of postcards intended for the international market during the early 20th century.
A handwritten personal message appears on the reverse, but there is no postage stamp or postal cancellation; the card therefore appears to have been written but never mailed.
