c. 1910 Happy Jack Eckert World’s Prize Fat Man Sideshow Circus RPPC Postcard.
DESCRIPTION:This is a rare circa 1908–1912 Real Photo Postcard featuring circus performer Jack Eckert, famously billed as \"Happy Jack\". Billed as the \"World\'s Prize Fat Man\", the text on the back notes his statistical benchmarks: Age 34 Years and a weight of 739 Pounds. It highlights his affiliations as the \"Largest Elk, Moose and Woodman of the World,\" listing fraternal chapters in Americus, GA, Alexandria, LA, and Huntington, W. VA. The Studio: The front image includes his promotional catchphrases (\"O.E. Follow Me\" and \"B.P.O.E. Follow Me\"). Having no traditional postcard markings on the back (such as printed lines for an address, a divider, or a \"Stamp Box\") is common for this specific card. Printed by photographers Carter & Carter in Logan, West Virginia around 1908.
SIZE: Measures3-3/8\" x 5-3/8\".
CONDITION: Good focus. Top corners bent from tape across the bottom, from being in an album. Print on back faded. Check out the above photos.
