Original antique German map plate titled “Österreich-Ungarn” from Meyers Konversations-Lexikon, 4th edition, circa 1888. This attractive color map depicts the Austro-Hungarian Empire and surrounding regions, with cities, rivers, railways, provincial outlines, and relief shading. A very desirable piece for collectors of antique maps, Central European history, Austria, Hungary, Balkan material, and decorative cartography. This is a complete 2-page plate, approximately 24 x 30 cm (9.45 x 11.81 in), offered as a full complete page with no missing part. Original antique print, not a modern reproduction. Wikimedia Commons identifies this sheet as volume 12, page 482a, scale 1:5,000,000.

Good antique condition overall. Visible center fold as issued for a 2-page plate.
