The Peerless Magnarc name is clearly visible on the equipment at left. The projector equipment has been identified as Simplex XL, introduced in the postwar era and widely used in professional theatrical projection. The associated soundheads may be RCA equipment, although the exact model cannot be confirmed from this angle.
The photograph captures an unusually detailed interior view of the projection room, including projector mechanisms, heavy-duty bases, wiring, control equipment, ventilation ducting and electrical panels. The image provides an excellent documentary view of mid-century theatrical projection technology during the carbon-arc era.
