Offered for sale is a cute PERSIAN CAT or KITTEN figurine made by Lefton. It is made of white bone china with an eggshell or semi-gloss glaze, and has the number 1514 printed on the bottom. When this figurine was made, Persian cats had luxurious long coats, but had not yet been bred to have the extreme shortened faces that they typically have today. The red sticker on the bottom reads Lefton\'s REG.U.S. PAT OFF. EXCLUSIVES JAPAN; which indicates it was made between 1953 and 1971. After 1971 the stickers read LEFTON instead of LEFTON\'S. Be aware that picture 5 shows the sticker from another, identical Lefton cat, but the sticker on this figurine (and thus the age) is the same.
This cat stands 5 1/2 inches (14.0cm) to the tip of the ears, and measures 4 1/2 inches (11.4cm) tall.
It is in excellentcondition with no chips, cracks, scratches, or stains. The figurine has its original sticker, but DOES NOT come with the original box, leaflets or tags.
