A lovely clean steel wedge axe, stamped number #1 just under the lightly mushroomed poll. Lower down towards the double bevelled edge is the makers stamp “BRADES CRITERION, MADE IN ENGLAND” the head is solid on the revarnished 15” nice shaped wooden shaft that has a little wear on the very end. A nice looking tool that will sharpen up without too much effort.
