vintage oriental dolls 10" boy and 9" girl pair For Sale

This 9" girl doll is an example of a keepsake from around the time of the Korean War as brought back by American servicemen stationed in the region. She, along with her brother shown in a separate listing, were gifts given by her uncle to this soldier's niece. The girl is in mint condition. She has a composition bent limb body and a beautifully painted face that is a lighter color than her brothers and that appears to be perhaps of a plastic or other hard substance. Her black hair is synthetic fiber, with a knot on top and decorated with flowers. She has the sweetest facial expression with her pale coloring, brown eyes, indented nostrils, and tongue in mouth, all nicely molded and detailed. She is dressed in a colorful kimono type robe and red vest wrap. She comes on her red pillow and included is a printed rayon table scarf with image that is 26" x 28". Clothing and scarf are also in perfect and clean condition.
