Own a rare piece of history. A glimpse of life in early 1900s in New Orleans on Bourbon Street Mardi Gras. This tiny- under 1 inch - piece of history is over 100 years old dating between 1900-1910. In Amazing Rare Condition and with its Original Box. All Enamel is intact. No chips or cracks. The inside metal plates are all affixed with miniature black and white photos of New Orleans, Bourbon Street, Black Americana. It closes securely with a small side latch and hangs from the original top bale.
The locket is filled with historical pictures from late 1800 to 1910, some that are attributed to Kaffl & Bro - controversial ( O! Mammy) and Raphael Tuck & Sons

Locket is unmarked. Metal is untested.
Most of the lockets found like these are in poor condition and while doing research for last 10 years I have only found one that was an American souvenir.
