Authentic JFK 1963 assasination #12 postcard set with large poster and jfk photo.
So what this is are a #12 postcard set that a local photographer from the Dallas area made up at the time of JFK’s assassination to sell to local stores. So when a store would purchase a large number of postcard sets the large poster would be placed in the store window to show customers that the #12 postcard sets were sold at this store.
These are not reproductions but actual photos that a local photographer had taken and decided to turn them into postcards and sell them to local store owners. And on the back of the postcards are the name and address of his photography studio that was here in Dallas. So when this local photographer realized that he made the mistake of producing way too many postcard sets he boxed hundreds of them and put them in his mothers garage and then in time he became I’ll and passed away. So one day when I agreed to help my elderly neighbor clean her garage I was amazed to find all of these nicely well packaged JFK postcard sets that her son who was the actual photographer had nicely stored them so many years ago. And so she generously passed them on to me.
I have seen online these postcard sets but not so pristine or complete like what I am offering #12 actual unopened postcard sets. I have even donated one of these sets to the JFK archives foundation here in Dallas in memory of the photographer himself and his sweet mother.
