Beautiful palm sized Benitoite-Neptunite crystal plate! From the Dallas Mine, New Idria District in San Benito, California. A well formed cabinet specimen of elongated, prismatic, black neptunite crystals with crystals of Benitoite formed against a background of bright white Natrolite! There are at least 24 Benitoite and approx. 26 Neptunite crystals. The Benitoite crystals display the classic sapphire "cornflower" blue color known for Benitoite! I haven't seen many Benitoite plates of this caliber recently and at the price I am offering it at! The plate is marked with the number 2106 on the back. The plate measures approx. 4-1/4 in. by 3-3/8 in. by 3/4 in. and weighs approx. 190 grams.
